A STONE'S THROW FESTIVAL 2022 - Wave 2

THE NORTH EAST’S COASTAL MUSIC TRAIL | NEWCASTLE COAST (TYNEMOUTH & NORTH SHIELDS) - SATURDAY MAY 28th


With the first ever A Stone’s Throw Festival now only two months away, the already stellar line-up sees itself bolstered by an impressive second wave of acts. Joining the likes of Lauran Hibberd, Berwyn and headliner Sam Tompkins is the homegrown singer-songwriter Heidi Curtis. Despite not yet having any official releases, Curtis has developed her reputation through her compelling live performances, and her appearance in her hometown is certain to be no exception.


Synth-pop group Deco will bring an 80s flair to proceedings, having gained popularity through a mixture of infectious original tracks and creative covers on TikTok. Their bright and joyful sound is perfect for a festival crowd to enjoy.

Up-and-comers second thoughts have amassed a loyal following with their catchy indie-pop-rock songs that are sure to have everyone singing along. Having recently undertaken their first ever UK tour, second thoughts are well poised to deliver an amazing show when they take to the stage.


These are just some of the talented artists that will descend upon Tynemouth and North Shields on May 28th, with many more ready for attendees to discover throughout the day. With this expanded line-up, A Stone’s Throw Festival is shaping up to be a unique and integral part of the ever-growing North-East music scene and is sure to provide an unforgettable experience on the picturesque coastline.


Making up the second wave of artists is Deco, Heidi Curtis, second thoughts, August Charles, Baltic, Calum Bowie, Chartreuse, Finn Forster, Frankie Jobling, Jarki Monno, LYRAS, Midlight, Scrannabis, Spilt Milk, Swannek, The Michaels, The Strands, TV Death, Uncanny Valley, Witness Protection Programme, and Zela.
